Pure Joy

“I CANNOT BELIEVE
that the inscrutable universe turns
on an axis of suffering;

surely the strange beauty of the world
MUST
SOMEWHERE
REST
ON PURE JOY.”

She spent her life paying attention and settled down on THIS GLORIOUS TAKE on how the universe really is. 

That terrible fear and sourness that tempts all of us at times – she just sets it aside as finally false. She sees and welcomes beauty as the inevitable ultimate.

Perhaps that’s how we could think of God.
